Let Your Body Sing

 

Get ready to play with your body, breath, and voice! We will start on a mat on the floor, mindfully relaxing breath and body. Then we will come standing and explore our voice inspired from touch, mirroring, and imagination.

No need to consider yourself a "singer". This is an opportunity to expand on what you presently know about your voice.

This is a hands-on and partnering workshop.

  • Lisa Peers

    Lisa has been a professional actor since 1992. Her career has led her to play on the stages at The Shaw Festival, Atlantic Theatre Festival, Chemainus Theatre Festival, Manitoba Theatre Centre- to name a few. She has a deep respect for the process of rehearsal and performance. So much so, that it led her to learn how to guide and support students in their quest to be professional performers.

    Her training includes a BFA Acting from UBC and an MFA Acting from York University; The Royal Conservatory Artist-Educator Foundations Course; The Month Long Intensive at Shakespeare&Co; National Voice Intensive; The International Voice Intensive with Richard Armstrong at The Banff Centre; Baby Clown with John Turner; 200hr YYoga Certification, Yin Yoga certification.
